Groundsman

(Full-time or Part-time)

We are looking for a Groundsman / Gardener for our College. The job could be either 1 person full-time, or a job share part-time with around 25 hours grounds and 15 hours gardening. The positions are responsible for maintaining all aspects of the sports fields, artificial turf, hard surfaces, lawns and gardens. Our easy to follow school maintenance system will give you the confidence and ability to settle into this role with ease.

 

​Core responsibilities include: maintaining the gardens/hedges/lawns/quads and pathways, Sports field maintenance (including mowing, fertility, and pest and disease control), presenting the live turf and artificial sports surfaces to a high level for sporting fixtures, Sports field line marking, coordinating seasonal renovations of the sports fields, working closely with the school to ensure all grounds maintenance duties do not have a negative impact on school operations and working within a set budget. There maybe other tasks negotiated with the successful person(s) when other maintenance work is required.

School Nurse

(Part-time)

We require a part-time school nurse. The role is for 7 hours per week - part-time permanent. This job entails working with the lead nurse and assisting with the Health and Wellbeing services provided to our students. This role comes under the Counties Manukau District Health Boards scheme - School Based Health Services - Nurses in Schools.
