During Term 1 and Term 4 students participate in swimming as part of the Physical Education programme. The Tuakau College Swimming Sports Championships and Tabloids are held in Term 1 at the Tuakau Centennial Pool.

In 2022, due to COVID-19 'Red' settings, we were unable to hold our Swimming Tabloids, but we were able to have our Swimming Championships! Tangaroa placed first with 174 points, Ruaumoko placed second with 156 points, Tane Mahuta placed third with 89 points and Tawhirimatea placed fourth with 57 points! A special congratulations to Charlotte Hyland-Mills who broke all five of her own records!
